but I believe in the country Democrats want. Tonight may be demoralizing but it's a lesson in communication. I deeply, unflinchingly KNOW Liberal policies are right for America.
The proven model is Western Europe; a healthy, happy, family oriented, non-violent, and egalitarian society. I asked my Tea Partier brother to show me a Libertarian/Conservative society that works, maybe he'll convince me. The closest he could point to is the U.S., but it's too socialist for him. He and his friends want to dismantle our social structure and turn us into a heavily armed third world country (Nigeria anyone?). If they can't present a functioning society under their policies but we can, what does that say?
And further proof of our failure to communicate is that progressive ballot issues won by large majorities (i.e., raising minimum wage and rejecting personhood). Those are OUR issues, but those same voters elect THEM? So, because people need to be won over, need to be convinced, we have to show our ideas are better rather than run away from our AWSOME President Barack Hussein Obama.
Also I wouldn't doubt people's superstition and fear over the news lately made them think we were going in the wrong direction. This can't last because if Republicans keep winning we will all be Kansas (where the GOP governor won over very slow learners).
So in order for Republicans to fail they have to win first. It's just a shame these small-minded, black hearted, superstitious folks have to drag us along with them.
Well I feel kinda better, cept for Rick Scott, ughhhh.
