Welcome again to Saturday Morning Home Repair blogging, where we talk about fixing houses, the things in them that are supposed to work for us, and fixing them up. An ad hoc cadre of building professionals and gifted amateurs attempt to answer questions that arise from readers, and offer encouragement and advice for those inclined to do things for themselves, if they can. We all do a lot of things, collectively, and can probably help out with insights from our vast experience.
Or sometimes, we just gab.
So the place had the drywall up in the old section in my last post. The finishers were also done.
painted & lights up.
a lot has happened
I got the sink mounted on the wall
this is the left side so there will be a hose bib for a short garden hose & hot water & air.
the right has cold water & air !
the legs will be gone when it is put on the wall for the last time.
look closely & you will see there is 5 pieces of tubing with holes in it. that is attached to the stud.
the tubing is there so I can bolt 3" x 3/16 strap to it. There will be arms welded on that strap. It's a steel rack. :)
I put support in the wall for a in the future bench
if the bench gets done it would be 18' on one wall with a L of 8'.
The electric is in the walls also.
there is a lot in that picture. some of those pipes go outside for the AC unit & a future air compressor. all this had to be finished so the walls could be sprayed.
I only took a few pictures of that process !
the is angle in there to hang shelves on
took 2 days 2 spray it.
the 17th of November I think the drywall will go up in the new section.
Now the AC duct outside will get sprayed.
Then it will get siding put on it. It will have a little roof also.
