Great news from the California Congressional district 07 race.
Democratic candidate Ami Bera is narrowing the early lead held by Republican Doug Ose in the latest election counts update from the Sacramento county registrar.

DOUG OSE (REP). . . . . . . . . 76,133 50.17
AMI BERA (DEM). . . . . . . . . 75,603 49.83
Bera trails Ose by only 530 votes now.
The Sacramento Bee reports:
Ose, who finished Election Night with a 3,011-vote advantage over the freshman lawmaker, has seen his lead contract again nearly a week after polls closed Tuesday. The margin stood at about 2,000 votes since the last counting Thursday, when nearly 80,000 ballots were left across the county.

Elections officials now estimate that just 33,000 countywide ballots remain uncounted. The next update is scheduled for about 4 p.m. Wednesday.
