Why do you worry about the filibuster in the Senate next year?
Do you honestly think that the Democratic party can even rally the Senate Democratic members much less keep them together to obtain a filibuster to begin with?
Especially with Democratic members like Manchin?
If I understand it correctly, it takes the entire minority party to sustain a filibuster. Have you any hope of all the Democrats actually pulling together in the Senate next year?
And do you really think the Republicans will really get rid of it as it has been the most effective tool of stopping just about all Democratic legislation?
I wish I had faith in the Democratic party to do so, but I know better.
It's time to move on to other strategies. This one is a nonstarter.
