I've always thought of these as spring flowers so this was a surprise.

Since I've been keeping records, the first frost in my yard has been around the 2nd week of November. So, the cold end of the growing season is about right on time. However, even just yesterday there were flowers still blooming and fruit still forming. I saw the freeze coming and harvested what I could.

Mind you that I'm not complaining about still being able to eat peas, leaf lettuce, and broccoli shoots from my veggie garden in late October. And then, there were the fall berries.
