After looking at some Netflix, I checked my email and found a pitch from Debbie Wasserman Schultz to help out Mary Landrieu. This is what it read as-
The 2014 election isn't over yet, Todd.
The final Senate race is up for grabs in Louisiana, and that's where Democratic Senator Mary Landrieu is defending her seat in a runoff against a Republican named Bill Cassidy.
Here's the kind of guy we're talking about: Cassidy voted against Hurricane Sandy recovery funds, against ending the government shutdown last year, against extending the debt limit -- risking default -- and even against the Violence Against Women Act.
In short, we simply can't let Republicans like Cassidy win -- he represents one of the sharpest contrasts to progressive thinking in politics today. So help us fight back and chip in $3 or more today to elect Democrats like Mary.

Winning in Louisiana allows us to keep one more Democratic voice of reason in Congress who can help President Obama keep the new Republican majority in check.
Thanks for stepping up, Todd -- we need you now more than ever.

As you can see, fear, fear, and more fear. Not one thing about moving progressive values forward. Rarely do you win from positions of weakness, but still, more scare tactics. What follows is my response-
Why are you telling me? Tell the voters of Louisiana. Oh I forgot-the DCCC pulled the plug on their efforts to help Mary. What do you want from me? I have given messaging advice, policy framing, field work, and have been doing it for FREE for decades now, and all you ever ask for is cash. Did it ever occur to you that maybe your high priced Ivy Leaguers were not worth one guy who knew his way around a pub and a coffee shop? Maybe you hired the wrong consultants. Your job is not to only register new Democrats, but win back old ones. They don't care much about the green movements, or social issues-they want more stability in their jobs and security at home. Win them back on that, and the environment and reproductive choice will be back on the table with them. Talk to them-or at least hire someone who knows how to.
My door is always open to you, but until you learn how to properly spend the cash, my wallet is not. Good luck all the same. Tell Mary I say hi. She beat Terrell, she can shock the world and beat this clown.

Disclosure-I have been a volunteer worker on many different campaigns, but none this season or currently.
Starve their message of $$, and watch them change, or even DEVELOP a message. I am done for the cycle. I have credit cards to pay off. Thanks for checking this out,
