Progressive and liberal leaning voices continue to be excluded from the room, so why do we continue to support the Democratic political machine?
It is time to make bold Progressive demands ... and we use the same strategy the far right has, does now, and will continue to use ... because it works.
I talk, I listen and what I am hearing is not what I'm being told I'm supposed to be hearing. Since this is not the first time I've been told that what I'm actually hearing and what this worthless media is telling me I should be hearing are in stark contrast.
The Democrats could have easily taken this election if they had embraced the progressive ideologies and liberal constructs that make us uniquely American. The mid-terms are open season due to disenfranchisement ... mostly self-inflicted.
There are 40% of "eligible" voters in the United States that don't participate in primaries, midterms, or Presidential election cycles. The numbers grow dismally worse with each purported lack of importance.
The Tea-Party figured that out and culled through the rolls of the disenfranchised on the fringe right to come up with some needle changing numbers. These people flung their hooks into the GOP for support.
SO WHAT ARE WE MISSING HERE ????
Is it that 40% of eligible voters don't give a crap, or is it that the 2 party system is beyond rigged ... and offers no issues, no voice, no common ground with 40% of those eligible to vote.
Those numbers alone ... as a party of their own ... OWNS the political process. These are the "We The People" who are burned out from the bullshit.
Progressive issues ruled election day, yet ... the Democrats did not win seats, lost ground and still cry that it was progressives who did not come out to support them.
Has the Democratic National Committee taken a moment to ponder that perhaps, courting the votes that the Blue Dogs like Mary Landrieu or Kay Hagen seem to attract, just isn't what the people they represent are looking for?
I suggest that given a bold progressive choice, these voters could be persuaded, in mass, to vote for something that is not a Republican and not a Democrat; rather a human being that cares about the planet, cares about the people, cares about income equality, cares about something and somebody other than themselves and their tiny circle of friends who wield a disproportionate influence. A Progressive Liberal candidate that stands outside the system ready to fix what is obviously broken!
Progressives and Liberals UNITE!!!!
It is time for the "Progressive Party" to join hands with LIKE MIND and play the mid-terms so that we take local seats, and local offices. That we caucus only with Democrats who do more than beg for our money, while dismissing our concerns as "in their way"!
There are choices, we just seem to be afraid to use them. Think we need a better strategy ...
