I have not seen enough outrage here and other media outlets (liberal and otherwise), on the spineless politician Pat Nixon Governor (D) of Missouri. He had a chance to do something when he could have forced an independent prosecutor instead of the biased District Attorney McCullough. Instead he rolled over and essentially said that we should not change the system
"there is a well-established process by which prosecutors can recuse themselves — a process Nixon said he didn't want to veer from "and potentially jeopardize the prosecution."
Didn't want to jeopardize the system!!! How did that work out for you.
How do we expect people to have confidence in their Democratic leaders when they openly admit that when there is an opportunity to do something to change an undoubtedly broken system, that they will not act.
We should hold our Democratic leaders accountable. If there is an opportunity to change something and you do not act, then you are an obstacle to the problem and should be forced out of office in favor of someone with the guts to actually do something.
We got beaten in 2014 mainly because our base did not turn out in the numbers we needed to win. Why is that??? Governor Nixon is one of the reasons why.
I am a hardcore Democrat but I don't think I could live with myself by pulling the lever of such a spineless coward such as Governor Nixon. I just saw him on the teevee in his press conference where he was trying to act tough and only focused on the protesters which he called shameful. I did not hear one word about Michael Brown of his family.
Sorry to focus on the political aspect of a problem which is much bigger than politics. Politics however, is one of many ways that we could change the system, partly by not voting for empty suits like Governor Nixon.
