Regarding the death of Michael Brown, one teensy detail of Darren Wilson's testimony has me mystified - just one small, forgettable and inconsequential detail that he has repeated a number of times. The detail revolves around how he came to realize that the two jaywalkers he had encountered were actually the perps of the "strong-arm" robbery of the convenience store.
Here is the Convenience Store Incident Report (see page 6 of 17) where the suspect Michael Brown was described over the radio as wearing a WHITE tee-shirt, Khaki shorts, and yellow socks. The other suspect (Johnson) was not described at all in the report
Now, here is a transcript of radio traffic from the document release:
Radio Traffic
There are 3 references to a "black male in a white tee shirt on page six. There are 2 more references to "white tee shirt on page 7. Dorian Johnson is simply described as "another male" with no description at all.
You can listen to some traffic yourself here:
Darren Wilson's radio calls show encounter was brief
There is no mention of a black teeshirt anywhere.(Edit to add - that I am aware of) In fact, so far I have not seen a single mention of a black teeshirt, which was worn by Dorian Johnson on the day of Michael Brown’s death. Dorian Johnson was the undescribed companion of the convenience store cigar swiper, Michael Brown
So here is the mystery:
Here is Transcript of Darren Wilson's statement after fatal shooting where he says he heard a "brief description of a black male in a black teeshirt" (page 4)
Here is Darren Wilson Grand Jury testimony where he states on page 209 that the combination of Cigarillos and a "black shirt" worn by Johnson let him know that he has the convenience store perps.
And in the interview with Stephanopoulos, once again Wilson notes
Noticing the cigarillos in Brown’s hand, and how Johnson’s clothing matched the description in the robbery report, Wilson called for back-up and then pulled his car out in front of the pair to block their path.

Yet, the only descriptions broadcast of the convenience store perp appear to be of Michael Brown's attire, not Dorian Johnson's who is a complete blank description wise as far as I can find.
It's a little thing, but it bothers me. When, how and from whom did DW hear of a "black teeshirt"? What was the source of that description?
