The Verrazano bridge connects Brooklyn to the 'other United States" and passes over "Cop Town" or Staten Island. Every Northern city had its "Up South" and here is New York's. It was the staging ground for the British forces taking New York but more conservative than the Tories ever were; a major receptacle for city garbage through the years and getting revenge with their current representatives in the House, and of course showcasing American Exceptionalism to the World in the Garner Case. The bridge was named for a reputed Florentine explorer under pressure from Italian American Societies and of course miss spelled. It has no pedestrian walkway which no one ever really missed especially on the weekend motorcycle club runs when members of the police participate in scaring the Hell out of anyone trying to just go on their way. Its now a shame because it would be a pleasure to piss off it and look toward the horizon for a storm twice the size of Sandy.
