Just a quicky here to mention that the little guy does win occasionally.
VT artist Bo Muller-Moore has been granted trademark protection for his Eat More Kale T shirts.
For those of you who don't know this story, Muller-Moore has been in a legal fight with Chik-fil-A for years now who claim he was violating their trademark phrase "eat mor chikin."
He started making the Eat More Kale T shirts 14 years ago for a local farmer. The shirts caught on and the artist decided to trademark the idea to use on bumper stickers etc.
Chik-fil-A wasn't happy about that and tried to prevent him from making the shirts.
Needless to say the end result was that Eat More Kale T shirts became even more popular, and even the Governor of Vt held a press conference explaining to Chik-fil-A the difference between kale and chicken.
This was the first I'd ever hear of Chik-fil-A, and I hated them for that long before I learned of their homophobic owner.
So, after the dispiriting news of so many Democrats once again selling us to the highest bidders on Wall St., we can take at least a little comfort from knowing that every once in a blue moon, the little guy does win.
