Team PM News:
Team PM plans to get going for reals on December 30th - we are firmly in the "let's outgear this place" camp, so we're hoping everyone will be at an item level to make normal fairly smooth, and maybe take a crack at heroic Kargath in the first couple of weeks. We've had to make a schedule change because our long time indispensable healer is doing wonderful community work which has to happen this semester on Monday nights, so we'll be going on Tues and Thursday for the foreseeable future. It's unfortunate that this will overlap with Nina's flexorama on Tuesdays (we go at 9), but we can perhaps at least help out with the first boss the guild group is doing on normal, if we're on heroic mode, before moving to our raid at 9. We now have 13-14 people on our roster, plus a couple of backups, so we're in good shape to get in there, once we all get geared up.
Thursday Night LFR:
Last Thursday, Team PM hosted a guild LFR, since they opened last week, and it was a blast - we had a sizeable block of guildies so I expected it to go smoothly. What I didn't expect, although I had been warned, was how EASY it was! Way easier than any heroic dungeon, and nice gear dropped for several people. It literally took less than a half hour to do, and at a minimum you get 250G just for showing up, so pretty profitable as well. So we're doing it again tonight, at 8 - there are 2 wings open now so probably will take more like an hour (I really don't know, maybe more than that), but worth doing I think. I know many hard core raiders dump on LFR, but I think it's great that there's a clearly designed "tourist mode" difficulty that allows people who cannot or don't want to do regular raiding to see the content and get some nice loot. So I hope guildies who are in that category will join us tonight!
Saturday Night Massacre (in case Mageartin doesn't write it up) -
Mageartin organized another Molten Core run for SNM this past week, and while we had fewer guildies (I think 13?) in the group, we had 3 of the 4 tanks, including Redentor who repeated his stellar leadership of that raid from last week. It was pretty smooth, under 2 hours, and people got hats and mounts, so good times! I think we need to schedule a guild run for a week night, though, for those who cannot make it on Saturday nights - I was thinking the week of New Year's, perhaps on Monday Dec. 29th, or maybe even on New Year's Day evening? We can see what folks think.
