There was a famous Daily News cover with Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich in a diaper. He had had a hissy fit because President Clinton made him disembark Air Force One from the back of the plane, so Newt shut down the government. I've been thinking about this a lot recently.
I was a day camp counselor one summer for 6-year old boys. One day, one of them hit another. When I asked the aggressor why, he simply shrugged his shoulders. It reminded me of Republicans responding to questions about their attacks on President Obama with, "because."
There is a word for people who throw a temper tantrum whenever they do not get their way. Please follow me for more specifics:
People who irrationally cry, NOT when you take their toys (i,e. guns) away, but just because they think you might. People who are afraid of the imaginary monsters (Blah people, drug dealing decapitating Illegal Mexicans, Ebola infected Isis terrorists) hiding under their beds or in their closets, that they need you to constantly check and can't sleep without a nightlight.
People who stomp And cry when they don't get their way and complain that it's not fair, because of non-existent voter fraud. People who threaten to take their ball and go home and then complain that the game has been canceled.
They are called babies. Rightfully so. And it is long past time for Democrats to remind the media that the proper treatment of these people is NOT to take them seriously. But to stick their heads in gravy, wash them out with bubblegum and send them to the Navy. They treated their own 2008 standard bearer the same way once.
