Standard disclaimer: Leave your loathing of meta, World of Warcraft, or community diaries outside. If you think we should be playing your MMO instead, start a guild and write a recruitment diary. Don't leave a comment here and then get all hurtful when it isn't received with flowers and candy. This goes double for people coming in to attack guildies over other diaries or comments - STAY OUT! Standard advertisement: Wreck List is the Daily Kos World of Warcraft guild. We are Horde-side on the Garrosh server. We're getting close to the membership cap, so we'll have to put you on a waiting list if you want to join. To get on the list, read this diary and visit the Guild web site. Yes, you have to be Horde. No, you don't have to be hardcore - casuals, PvPers, and people that just want to hang out on guild chat are all welcome. |
More below the fold:
Looks like we're getting a new NPC in Level 3 garrisons next patch. This NPC will sell you (the contracts, I hope) followers that you may have missed due to not doing the quests, choosing a different quest path or outpost building, or whatevs. WoW Insider has a story about it.
On to the raid reoprts - first, here's Ninotchka's Team Kaels report:
The holidays are over, the expansion is well under way, folks have levelled their characters and garrisons, and so it’s time for the endgame. Team Kaels and the Flexorama are raiding.
Flexorama continues to be on Tuesday nights at 8:00 EST. We got into a rhythm of going out to do the world boss first, then reforming and killing the first two bosses of Highmaul. However now that the Relaxed Progression team has moved to Tuesday nights I am losing a large chunk of personnel at 9:00, so I decided to make the raid Highmaul—centric. This week once again we had too many people for a single raid group – we ended up with, I believe, 45 or 46 people. Both groups killed a few bosses and much loot was had by all.
Team Kaels had a limited schedule during the holidays, and managed to push to 4/7 heroic raiding one night a week. We are bumping up to two nights per week (hardcore!) now that the holidays are over and last night we were rewarded by a Brackenspore kill. So now only two bosses remain in heroic progression. Fortunately (?) Imperator Mar’gok is a long, involved and exhausting fight so we have plenty of work and achievement ahead of us.

And here's Pamena's Team PM report:
Pamena report:
Team PM is in its first week of twice weekly raids - last week we one shot Kargath, and got the Butcher after a few wipes, so this Tuesday we tried heroic Kargath and, uh, kind of had a reality check. A smaller group like ours - 14 people - has to be more precise on the mechanics and has less room for low output in damage and healing from one or two people - I think we fell short in both categories, but it was good to try it to see what we need to work on. Although about half of us had gone with Nina's group at 8, we switched to normal after a few pulls on heroic, so that the rest of the group could have a shot at loot, and on normal, it's a one shot fight for us, as was the Butcher. So, we're going to stick to normal mode for the next few nights and push as far as we can get into the tier, before we attempt Kargath again. It's really not a question of gear - according to the Warcraft logs site Kaels set the guild up with, we are well geared for heroic, so I think it's more a question of a few people being newer to raiding or coming back to raiding after a long time. Once everyone is comfortable with the dance, I am confident we can hit heroic mode in good form.

Tha's all I have for this week.
