My brother is back in town from Mainland China and we were talking about what it was like growing up as children (ages 1-12) in the 1970s.
One thing we loved were Saturday mornings, full of high powered sugared cereals and Saturday morning cartoons. One thing led to another and we discussed how much cartoons had changed since we were children, and how, for better or worse, certain cartoons could never be made/marketed for children nowadays. These cartoons dealt with subjects that we now know might not be best marketed to children, but back then....times were different, or where they?
I thought that it would make an interesting late night diary topic, and I'd love to get your thoughts and other cartoons that you think share this distinction, so please stop on in and share.
