Short and not-so-sweet, since 3CM is too lazy to think about anything substantial to talk about tonight. So the essence of things is the simple poll below, which might have different results out in the real world, away from DK. That aside.....
If 3CM were his usual self, he would have taken the time to diary about:
(1) The sudden announcement in the NYT yesterday that Alan Gilbert will step down as music director of the New York Philharmonic, at the end of his current contract, and 8 seasons in the job.
(2) The semi-slow motion trainwreck that is the current situation at English National Opera.
There was also this announcement about a restaurant closure in the county seat of Clayton, where "recent events circumstances and events in the Clayton area" contributed. BTW, back in November after the Ferguson non-indictment announcement, Mad Tomato was one of the restaurants that closed, for safety reasons.
However, since 3CM is a loser, the poll is what you get here. However again, I wouldn't mind some feedback here in a semi-informal "poll" regarding my own question as to next weekend's SNLC. It might potentially involve the Metropolitan Opera's double fill of Iolantha and Bluebeard's Castle. But here is the problem: one of the singers is Anna Netrebko, and the conductor is Valery Gergiev, two particular "Putin poodle" supports of Czar Vladimir and his disgusting policies towards the Ukraine and gay rights. So the question: should 3CM go to that HD-cast and diary it, or not? Your answers in the comments are welcome, while you're observing the standard SNLC protocol, namely your loser stories of the week.....
