The Fukushima reactor incident continues as an on going crisis, heading into
it's 5th year now, many people would like to erase the disaster from the memories
of global citizens.

I am sure the usual collection of nukers will show up complaining about the label "Disaster", but they should take that up with Tepco...
I'm sure Tepco would tell you, perhaps in a year or so
http://www.nbcnews.com/...
he operator of Japan's tsunami-stricken Fukushima nuclear power plant admitted it failed to report a radioactive rainwater leak from the facility for about 10 months.
,,,
"This was part of an ongoing investigation in which we discovered a water puddle with high levels of radiation on top of the Reactor No. 2 building,
,,,,,
The puddle of contaminated rainwater contained cesium levels as high as 23,000 becquerels per liter, more than 10 times as high as radiation levels in sample water taken from other parts of the roof, according to TEPCO. It would implement measures to prevent further contamination by, for example, placing sandbags that absorb radioactive material in the area, TEPCO said.
23,000 Bq/Liter.... nice and hot. Not immediately lethal but,
certainly bad for human health...
It's more interesting that the puddle was found on the roof of Reactor 2...

If you look Rac 2 was the only one that didn't blow it's top, the workers got in and
tore out some panels to vent the secondary containment zone. you can see the
open panels there.
So that says, that despite a relatively clear work space, the Tepco clean up teams haven't
even cleaned off the outer surface of that building, or that somehow new debris is
getting kicked up onto the roof of the building. I'd suspect it's the first...
Really simple job, so simple any troll could do that. It just means that they probably have
no good way to get up there. It also means that trying to get a handle on the site,
really isn't a priority for the management or Japanese Government.

The situation is quite precarious, despite the constant refrain of how wonderful it is
and really we could have 200 hundred of these, without a problem from some posters.
The situation is compounded by outright lying and hiding of basic information by
the responsible parties.
The first step to solving a problem is admitting there is a problem. Tepco is
congenitally incapable of admitting they have a problem there.
Sadly, many posters here at this sight also are incapable of admitting there is
a problem there.
