When in the course of Washington politics it becomes necessary for one Branch of Government to investigate the conduct of another, a Special Prosecutor is appointed, with broad powers limited only to the scope of the specific Investigation and answerable only to the People of the United States. We now face a crisis where a significant number of Senators of the Party opposed to that of the sitting President have committed an Act widely perceived by the People as a violation of the Senators' Oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of these United States.
I therefore suggest and request appointment of such a Special Prosecutor to investigate the 47 Senators (& Gov. Bobby Jindal) who signed the Iran Letter. In view of his exceptional qualifications for the role, I nominate Dick Cheney to fulfill those duties.
