What would happen if Loretta Lynch withdrew?
Only a misogynist or %^$*E@#! or a Republican would deny a woman whose pregnancy arose from her enslavement in the sex trade an abortion.
As of March 23, 2015 Eric Holder will have served 2,255 days as US Attorney General. Only Janet Reno (2,505 days; 3/12/1993-1/20/2000) and William Wirt (4,126 days; 11/15/1817-3/3/1829.)
Mitch McConnell, John Cornyn, Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III and Lindsey Olin Graham have made it very clear they have no respect for Attorney General Eric Holder. They have never denied they were racists or misogynists. I could not find such statements made by any of the 4 men using Google search.
I like and respect Eric Holder. I think Loretta Lynch is well qualified and should have been confirmed before the last session of 113th Congress ended.
I estimate that the Obama administration need would at least 60 days to identify and name a new nominee. How long would the Senate need to confirm Loretta Lynch’s replacement?
I think that would depend on:
1) Their race
2) Their sex
AND
3) If female, if they ever had an abortion!
Eric Holder looks tired and needs a break.
It could be that next Attorney's General replacement confirmation vote would be in the second session of the 114th Congress. Would the Republicans confirm a new Attorney General in the middle of the Presidential Primary Season? General Election?
If the Republicans chose to retain Eric Holder until January 20, 2017 he will have served 2,558 days making him the longest serving Attorney General in over 185 years.
