In looking through old photos, I realized I'm pretty consistent in taking photos at the start of Spring. So follow me through the years to see what's in bloom in my garden the third week of March.

the little daffs with hys coming up...
and I also found that the primrose was actually beginning to bud out and bloom, too, in 2008

March 19, 2015:
these are the crocus seen throughout the years in this diary. I'm not even certain these buds will develop - they look pretty badly winter-burned. There's no sign of even any leaves emerging of the tiny daffs, and thankfully, I allowed the fall leaves to cover where the larger daffs are, so those daff leaves that started to sprout up in December were well protected.

Happily, the non-fancy species crocus near the house were likely warmed and protected by the hose and are blooming in perfect form!
What's going on in your garden? Have you noticed the changing blooming times in your garden?
UPDATE:
3/20/2015 - First day of Spring.
