In July of 2013 Scott Ross at One Wisconsin Now released a report on Scott Walker's contributions from Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation recipients:
A review of campaign finance records by One Wisconsin Now has found that Gov. Walker's campaign and the Republican Governors Association (RGA) have raked in over $614,000 in donations from individuals associated with businesses receiving tax credits through the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC). Walker serves as chair of the board entrusted with overseeing the operations of the quasi-private WEDC.

Ross concluded, "Taxpayers have gotten the short end of the stick from Gov. Walker's scandal plagued WEDC. The agency has ignored basic business practices when it comes to protecting taxpayer dollars and failed miserably in fulfilling its mission of creating jobs. It appears about the only thing Walker's WEDC has been good for is helping to fill his own campaign coffers."
Now, this whole quagmire is
bearsguy's pet issue, and since my return last month he's convinced me to look into the matter. Let me tell you, it is one big mess of audit reports and FOIA requests that need to be made. It's going to be a big job. Today though, in
Eric Lewis' Reclisted diary I linked to one of the sources I discoved to support the
large numbers I was asserting and lo and behold
it was discovered that the link to the pdf was a dead end. It was agreed that it was quite curious especially since I just downloaded it 12 days ago. So, I dove in and searched and found a working link to the missing report
and here it is:
THE MISSING LINK
I haven't had a chance to read the whole report, so dig in and enjoy finding the juicy parts!
