I'm so frustrated with all the fair-weather, wishy-washy "Independents" or "moderates"', and even many Democrats who voted for Obama in 2008 (and maybe even again in 2012!), but then either sat out the midterms, or worse, voted for that party for the House and/or Senate. You know which one I'm talking about. Ugh...
I hate to just reiterate what the President himself has often said, but change doesn't happen overnight. And it happens from the bottom up-especially if we're talking about progressive change, which in this country, has always been a people's affair.
Yes, hold Obama accountable, criticize the Democratic leaders all you want, but fer cryin' out loud, don't bail at the first sign of resistance or obstacles. Don't give up on the democratic process. That's exactly what the Right wants, is for all of us to throw in the towel, pack it on up, go home. We can't let that happen. Too many are counting on us.
