Subtitled: The Myth of Political Advertising.
It appears Hillary Clinton has a serious brand recognition problem: today she walked into a Chipotle Restaurant in Ohio... and nobody recognized her.
????
Yes, I know it's a bit early for all of this-- but the fact a high level pol like Ms. Clinton, who has been in the "spotlight" since at least 1992-- can walk into a restaurant and not be more or less instantly recognized.. is astonishing to me.
But nobody took notice of the celebrity in front of the counter. Fellow patrons paid her no more attention than a driver would get from a toll taker.
Nor did the restaurant’s staff notice Mrs. Clinton, until this reporter, tipped off that she had dined there, telephoned.
The Chipotle manager, Charles Wright, insisted at first that the tip must have been false.
"No more attention than a driver would get from a toll taker"???
Of course some of the armchair political "experts" here will insist; "See!!! this is why she must spend hundreds of millions on tee vee commercials, so people know who she is!"
Errrrr, Nope. I'm guessing the majority of people working/eating at Chipotle do not watch network tee vee; where politicians waste Millions of dollars "getting their message out".
