Hey there, fellow venthooligans! Welcome to the Post Tax Day edition of the IVH! For all my working years I have faithfully submitted my taxes on or before the April 15 deadline. In lean years, I was motivated to submit them as soon as my employer forms arrived, because I was getting a refund. In flush years, it was pure procrastination and avoidance, because I was paying additional taxes. Mostly putting it off because my keeping of records and receipts isn't my strong suit, also the reason I never went to a tax professional. As the hours went by I went to Darby's Little League game, played computer games, read, took lilacs to my sister - anything but hunting and gathering tax stuff. Then, decided the hell with it and filed for an extension. The IRS accepted my request at 12:01 am. I felt great, then. Now I'm feeling guilty. It'll pass.
How are y'all liking Mr. James Corden? I find him kind of cute, certainly talented, and a good sport. His sidekick from Montana has grown on me. He has a great voice with an amazing range. I look forward to his questions, some absurd and some thoughtful. I like, for the most part his format of having his guests chat together. On the other hand...some skits are over long, he can be too affected, no deal breakers. I'm going to really miss Letterman, though. I've watched him since his daytime show.
Tonight, on the Late, Late Show: Michael Douglas, Simon Cowell and Jenny Lewis.
on the Late Show: Kevin James, Tom Dreesen and Tracy Chapman.
