“If you tell a lie long enough it becomes the truth” - from “tax cuts create jobs” to “everyone has the same chances in America” no lie has been told more and become more accepted than “liberal media”. Republicans have been blaming the media for their negative image for as long as I can remember. But if there was really a liberal media wouldn’t they be covering climate change, ALEC, the truth about America’s healthcare system (most expensive and least productive in the world). But the label has stuck and what it has left us with is a media afraid to do hard hitting stories for fear of being attacked by the republican party as “liberal”.
That’s why Bill Clinton was treated 10x worse for the Monica “scandal” than President Bush was for 9/11, Iraq, Torture, corruption or any of his many, many scandals and possible crimes. It wasn’t until hurricane Katrina that the media started to take a look at President Bush and his failures but by that time it was to late. The “Liberal” media is as much responsible for the dead American’s in Iraq as the politicians who sent them there. There still hasn’t been any tough questions asked about 9/11 or the tragic death of Pat Tillman but we get wall to wall coverage of Benghazi. We have had 10 negative Hillary Clinton stories for every 1 negative republican candidate story and while they give 2 minutes for a Ted Cruz story the spend 2 weeks on a Clinton story.
Maybe if the republicans don’t want to be portrayed by the “liberal” media as hating poor people, Hispanics, women and the environment they shouldn’t vote the way they do. Since the GOP has taken over congress in 2010 they have been the most anti-environmental , anti-women, anti immigrant congress in history while having the most investigations…
