Welcome to the Sunday edition of the Street Prophets Coffee Hour, an open thread conveniently located at the intersection of Religion and Politics. When I was first starting to mediate my instructor said to have a happy place fixed in my mind. A place where you could be free of stress and worries. A place that makes you feel comfortable and happy. I thought today I would share with you my happy place. This picture hangs by my bed where I can see it every night as I lay down. This is my dream beach.
I love the ocean and have a sound machine that plays ocean waves. A walk along the beach is something I absolutely love, The picture has an outer space element with two moons and a ringed planet. I love outer space. I love a nice fire which reminds ms of childhood and toasting marshmallows. Of course mine were stuck directly into the fire where they turned black and I ate them with their blacked crust and gooey center. It has a book and I can not go to sleep without reading. It has my favorite San Francisco sourdough bread. When I lived there I would go to Fisherman's wharf and buy the bread. It has a glass of red wine either a port or shiraz. It has a box of chocolates. It has a starfish symbolizing that there are stars in the heavens and on earth. In my dream place everything magically refills itself. Oh and Pixie? She is taking a nap on the other side of the fire resting on her favorite pootie pad.
