Tonight, Fox Business Network released excerpts from a new interview with our Dear Leader. While most of it was his usual stream of consciousness BS, he did make the point repeatedly that his chief of staff John Kelly was deeply offended by the idea that Congresswoman Wilson was secretly listening in on his call with the grieving widow of Sgt. La David Johnson.
Offended? I’m offended that former General Kelly, the so-called adult in the room, is apparently so dense. First, let’s put Trump’s infamous call in context. Kelly was in the room “coaching” Trump. The call is placed to Mrs. Johnson. Either the widow, or someone with her, answers the phone. The first thing that should be obvious is that she is on a speakerphone and probably traveling in a vehicle. In other words, there are probably people listening in. So let’s dispatch with notion that poor snowflake Kelly was so offended by the fact that there were more people than Trump, Mrs. Johnson and Kelly on the call.
Secondly, I’m offended that a 4-star general could sit through the dedication of an FBI headquarters in Miami in 2015 and apparently not hear a word that was said and not notice that there were TV cameras in the audience recording what was said.
Finally, I’m offended that the idea that General Kelly could bring some discipline and direction to the White House, and specifically Donald Trump, was ever a “thing”.
