Storm the Whitehouse!!! : cc the White House.

I've got an idea, don't know how feasable this is, nor if it's against the law. However, I 'm reminded when "the Law" breaks 'the Law' there is no Law. Imagine hundreds of thousands of e-mails sent to the boy King as electronic protest. Hear me out after the bump.  

There is a recurring archetype in popular fiction. The variations change, but the main points are that there is a hero who lives under a repressive, shadowy government and this hero seeks and obtains some kind of irrefutable proof of that government's corruption. The hero faces agents of this government who try to prevent the "truth" from getting out, but in the end the hero is able to broadcast or publish this "truth" and the evil bureaucracy who had fought to keep it secret immediately shrinks away like the Wicked Witch of the West after Dorothy spills some water on her. Public opinion, according to this archetype, can move mountains and human beings' desire for justice will win in the end.

This story entertains us in many of its variations, but is completely divorced from the reality of the situation. Not only is dissenting public opinion completely ignored (see the ten million who protested against the US invasion of Iraq), and is apathetic in the face of proof-of-treachery (see the lukewarm response the Downing Street Minutes recieved), but most importantly, the powers-that-be are like the drunken bank-robber who loves to brag to his buddies about what they have gotten away with (actually, in Karl Rove's case, this is literally true). He has been known by insiders to get lost in reminiscences of various smear tactics he has employed against his political foes.)
No one is going to save us, but us. I'm reminded of my favorite Kafka quote,"The Messiah will only come when he is no longer needed." That speaks to me on many levels. One, -at the risk of alieninating many- it has to be said, "the democrats will not save you", even if they could few have the backbone, and of the ones that do they are under the tracks of the machine of propaganda, prop-agenda, and
ruthlessness smear tactics by the current regrime.

The ubiquitous snoopping has become a realization to many by now. No longer have the tin hats been left 'crying wolf'all alone, of course in 'the boy who cried wolf story', in the end of the story, the wolf really did come. Well, look what has happened. All of our worse fears have come true. Look whose at the door. Why? Because the long nightmare is given to us 24/7 by the Bush machine. Fear.Fear.Fear.

Back to real life, Imagine, hundreds of thousands of e-mails choking the servers of the Whitehouse. Electronic resistence! Further, this idea will only happen within a group venture of complete SOLIDARITY. Much like the blogsphere did during the Save Al Franken! "fair and balanced" media storm.
I propose everyone start CC'ing the Whitehouse whenever you send emails so they don't have to go sneaking around. There it is that's my ideal. I'd love to hear feedback on it.

I'm reminded of such icons as Joseph Campbell, Swiss psychiatrist and founder of Analytical Psychology Carl Jung and others who often talked of the power of symbolism. What have we to lose at this point?!! Afterall, what this whitehouse has done is nothing short of an all out "psychological war" a form of Guerrilla warfare, on it's own people. Nothing short of cannibalism. Symbolism. It's time to push back! What I want for christmas is to see a electronic media storm of the whitehouse, Imagine we pick the first day of the New Year to say, "we're mad as hell and aren't going to take it anymore"!! It will start the year off right!
