BILL FRIST TAKES BIGGEST HIT in Poll

Wed Jun 15, 2005 at 04:54:30 PM PDT

As noted over at Donkey Rising ,
SuveyUSA has just released it's monthly report on the approval ratings of U.S. Senators, and the news is good. Of the 25 highest-ranking US Senators, 17 are Democrats, plus Independent Jim Jeffords. Stated in reverse terms, only 7 US Senators of the 25 highest-ranking approval ratings are Republicans.

And though the lists are sorted three ways, none was sorted to show NET change from May to June.  So I did it myself and found that Bill Frist had the largest Negative Net Change (Approval minus Dissaproval) at -14 (-7 Approval +7 Dissaproval)of the enitre Senate.

I don't know if that's the right way to do it, but it sure was fun.

<Best Net Gain ...>

The Top Five Gains went to:

Maria Cantwell (D-WA) at +15
Mel Martinez (R-FL) at +13
Kent Conrad (D-ND) at +13
Russel Feingold (D-WI) at +13
Robert Byrd (D-WV) at +11

The Bottom Five:

Bill Frist (R-TN) at -14
Tom Coburn (R-OK) at -12
James Inhofe (R-OK) at -11
John Thune (R-SD) at -10
David Vitter (R-LA) at -9
