You know what? I'm depressed, depressed at what this nation may in fact choose to become because of cowardice, depressed at the current job market especially my own (IT), and depressed that there may be no means of stopping this train off this cliff.
I'm already depressed enough as it is - I don't need to keep hearing about it day in and day out in this community. In other words - stop the f'n whining!
If all you are going to do is bitch and moan about the state of the race, that Kerry's going to lose, that he's not doing this or that, if that's all you are going to say or can say, then with all due respect, please, for godsakes, shut the f**k up!
We all know what's at stake here. The question, however, should be that of the attitude of today's Republicans - what are you going to do about? Seriously...what are you going to do about it?
How much money have you contributed to the Kerry campaign or the DNC? To MoveOn.org? To any other race besides the Presidential? How many voters have you mobilized? How many passions of Democrats have you ignited to get them excited about voting Bush out? People are asking what Bush has done for them lately - the question these days should be what have you done lately for Kerry and the race to beat Bush?
If all you have done lately is whine and cry about what Kerry should or should not do, then you aren't doing the cause any bit of good. If you don't like what's going on, there are a variety of offices for the Kerry campaign you can call or visit and voice your grief. Maybe enough of the bitching and moaning you do here will motivate the Kerry camp to do what needs to be done if you tell it directly to his staff and make it clear you want Kerry and his team to hear this. That is where you should be whining and crying - NOT here where we are trying to mobilize our troops for our gravest battle to save this country's soul, which let's be honest, that's what's at stake here.
This world will never forgive us if we allow Bush to legitimately win the White House. Their sympathy at our plight will no doubt turn to anger and hatred toward us if this fool for a President grabs a hold of the Oval Office for four more years, hereby eliminating all the progress this nation has made in the last half-century. That resulting anguish, pain, and fear will be a much worse feeling than the whining you dish out about Kerry. I don't want to think about four more Bush years - this country may not even have the moral or physical strength to endure four more Bush years; so why, by your crying, are you even giving the impression that it will likely happen?
Stop the whining and start doing something positive to win back this country. And stop bringing everyone else down here with your petty pessimism - we are already depressed enough as it is with what Bush has done to this country. Just stop it already, and start making it better.
