I know most of these posts are long and full of very interesting info but i prefer to keep things short and sweet...
On MSNBC Terry McCauliffe claims Hillary's campaign raised $10 million online since the polls closed in Pennsylvania. Obama's got to match that amount.. Donate now!
With the media all over Delay about his recent indictment what do you all think about us in the blog community raising some cash for former Congressman Nick Lampson who is running against Delay. Oh how nice it be with all this bad indictment coverage to have this huge rally of support around the man running against him. The press would eat that up. Even Netroots fav Richard Morrison, who ran against DeLay in 04, has endorsed Nick. I think this should be our first fundraising event here on DailyKos. Do you all agree? I have set up an Actblue page for Nick. Let's raise some cash and show everyone we are tired of Delay and want a change!
I am not sure if this has been posted yet but Actblue is expanding fundraising capacity to state executive and legislative candidates. I think this is such a great idea. I hope you all go to the Actblue site and check it out.
This is taken from the Actblue site...
Activate ActBlue in State-Level Races
One of our biggest 2005-06 projects is to expand our fundraising capacity to state executive and legislative candidates across the country.
When we've activated ActBlue in a state:
Every Democratic candidate for every state office can immediately accept contributions online.
Rhode Island & Sheldon Whitehouse needs your help to beat Senator Lincoln Chafee (R). We all know what is at stake in this upcoming election. Sheldon has a long and proven record of service to Rhode Island and he has the experience to be an effective and trusted U.S. Senator. Through his work as a US Attorney and Attorney General, Sheldon has a record of standing up for us, approaching problems head on and coming up with smart solutions. America will not be forced to wonder how Sheldon will vote on issues important to all of us such as efforts to oppose the privatization of Social Security, health care reform, fully funding public education and a woman's right to choose.

Rhode Island's two congressmen split on how they voted on the bill to give Terri Schiavo's parents the right to file suit in federal court over the withdrawal of food and medical treatment needed to sustain her life.
RHODE ISLAND
Democrats -- Kennedy, N; Langevin, Y.
It's likley Langevin will run against Republican Senator Lincoln Chafee. I have to say Langevin lost my vote. Our Secretary of State Matt Brown (D) is also running for for this same seat, he will get my vote and my money. I will place a call to Langevin's DC office to let him know how upset I am with him. If anyone else is interested in calling him here is his number...
Congressman James Langevin

If you want to find out more about Matt Brown here is his website...
I was on the Swing State Project website http://www.swingstateproject.com/ (found out about the site from the daily kos) and i believe they are doing an amazing job but, as for my state, our party doesn't have the man power or money to keep up a blog. Rhode Island didn't have a working state party website until last year, and all this talk about building stronger state democratic parties, why don't we "the Kos community" start a 50 State Party Fundraiser. We set it up as we did for the "Kos Dozen".
