Patrick Fitzgerald for Attorney General
Mon Jun 09, 2008 at 11:43:16 AM PDT
I was just wondering if there is still any awareness for US Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald to be appointed US Attorney General when Obama takes office? He was floated as an exceptional candidate during the Plame investigation but the reemergence of John Edwards has stolen some of that thunder.
Anyone heard anything about Edwards endorsing tonight?

The Huffington Post is running a story that John Edwards may be endorsing Obama tonight at his rally in Grand Rapids, MI at 7:00p.m. Can anyone provide more baseless gossip on the subject? Edwards certainly has been more visible in the last few weeks and he is a smart guy, so he knows that every other question is going to be about his endorsement (see recent grilling spectacle on CNN morning show).

[Update] Dem Vice President Short-list Predictions
Tue Mar 11, 2008 at 10:25:59 AM PDT
For my first diary on kos, I'd like to keep playing the prediction game since it's everyone's favorite pastime on here (until baseball season begins). For full disclosure, I am a strong Obama supporter, but in regards to this diary, my bias is rather benign.
A strategy has evolved from this past decade's highly contested and close elections that the first candidate to claim victory always has the best advantage to maintain that victory. While victory for Obama is not certain as of today, it will be soon, and I believe one of his campaign strategies should be tone of inevitability. One way to do that is beginning a discussion on vice president possibilities.
While this post is mainly an analysis of what veep choices would be best or most strategic for Obama in November, I welcome discussion for Clinton as well. Her short-list would be just as interesting.
