Precious Resource

Thu Sep 01, 2005 at 03:19:16 PM PDT

I just saw some footage of people trying to evacuate from the New Orleans area and it looked like footage you would expect to see in a war torn area from  a third world country. Normally I would  expect to see footage of the U.S. military providing relief to that area in a few days.

Email Strategy [Suggestion]

I just wanted to offer a suggestion that would allow folks to get a message across without it being seen/deleted/marked as spam or a chain letter.

I haven't had a diary entry since January and I have some time to kill. This is just a bunch of stuff I've been reading and thinking about.

Stop Blaming Bush!

Thu Jan 06, 2005 at 04:33:11 PM PDT

Thats right, you heard me, stop blaming him! The election is officially over and he can't run again. It really won't matter how much he fucks up (unless he gets himself impeached). Want to win in 06 and 08? Looky here...

Its not just W. who's going to fuck up Social Security: its the Republicans.
Its not just W. who wants to put your retirement in the hands of the people who brought us 'Enron': Its the Republicans.
The situation in Iraq is getting worse by the minute! Do you know why? The Republicans in the White House didn't think this thing through.
The Republicans may have to resort to a draft to keep enough troops in Iraq.

Why southern "morality" is important

Thu Dec 16, 2004 at 02:09:39 PM PDT

I posted this in a thread but there were already more that a two hundred entries before I was done. Decided to make a diary....

Dems have lost the frame war on the word "morality"...
..got to do a better job of framing what morality REALLY is.

   1. [n]  concern with the distinction between good and evil or right and wrong; right or good conduct
   2. [n]  motivation based on ideas of right and wrong

Re:question for anti-Bush people

Fri Oct 08, 2004 at 12:13:15 PM PDT

I saw this entry in the politics section of Slashdot. Its a very good response on just how the current administration is ruining the economy (the best response I've ever seen).

The basic theory of how Bush is ruining the economy is that the budget deficits & the growing international disdain for America (generated by the President) are deflating the economy by discouraging international investment in America. You might not think that international investment is very important to the American economy, but you just have to consider the trade deficit to know that it is. Afer all, by definition the trade deficit means that there is net a outflow of money in the form of direct commerce. If the trade deficit alone defined the financial landscape, America would spend itself into oblivion.

The rest follows...

Just a few comments on a couple of things I've noticed.....

Flip-Flops??? We don't need no stinking flip-flops..or do we?

The election this year isn't about GOP vs. DNC it isn't about Left vs. Right or Kerry vs. Bush. It's about the Success vs. the Failure of America. Take a good long look at a number of policies we need to revise in this country.
