How to win in November
Wed Aug 09, 2006 at 06:29:12 PM PDT
People who focus on problems but not solutions will be characterized as whiners, wimps,
radicals and cut and runners, and perhaps for good reason.
Opposition to a problem is not the same as a solution to a problem. Withdrawl from Iraq solves the problem of our troops in Iraq but not the problem of Iraq, or the middle east, or Iran, or Oil. We absolutely have to take on the big issues, otherwise the Leibermans or even Frists of the world may very well win in November and 2008.
We have needed candidates who can tell it like it is for some time and for many issues, this is no time to be ignoring the elephants in the room.
410-8; Congress gives Another Blank Check, this time for 60 yrs of Israeli Apartheid
Fri Jul 21, 2006 at 04:58:13 PM PDT
Well Britain and the League of Nations
were wrong to assist in creating a Middle East version of South African apartheid.
Just like it was wrong when for too long we thought there was nothing wrong rounding American Indian's onto Reservations, or slavery and South Africa's Apartheid. But to still be arguing that emigrated European Jews have the "right" to establish a racist segregationist theocracy - by force- is about 40 years behind the rest of the class in thinking and civilization skills.
Now I'm not saying it will be easy to climb the mountain but it is easy to point in the right direction. Both sides quit using every attack by the other side as an excuse to act like deranged serial killers, as if their killing your mom somehow excuses your killing their little sister?!! Take a deep breath, calm down, and grow up.
Remember, 1st he lied blaming Whittington.
Thu Feb 16, 2006 at 04:29:53 PM PDT
Big Question for Cheney:
Why the initial lie blaming Whittington and why the change now?
************
Shameful Lie
Cheney lied the worst sort of lie and "everyone" knows it.
Cheney's first move, while the victim was still in the Intensive Care Unit, was to blame the guy and claim that he, Cheney, did nothing wrong, -it was the other guys fault-. This, after shooting a man in the face, with a shotgun.
It will forever be a perfect example of Cheney's morality, and a metaphor for this administrations morality.
Every debate ought to begin with this issue. In any conversation it will come in handy as a bud-nipper and bullshit stopper, a highly effective tool for reeling in from the edge of sanity the blind followers of this tragic administration.
Everytime anyone blindly or carelessly supports -any- bullshit of the administration we should say "Cheney shot a guy in the face and tried to blame the poor guy - Was that moral?-" All remotely sane persons would agree that was wrong, to deny it is to look as bad as Cheney looked AND know you look that bad.
we need responsibility not simply an apology, theres a difference
Tue Feb 14, 2006 at 09:19:37 PM PDT
what matters is that he accepts responsiblity, admits it was his fault.
wrong to take that shot
wrong to say he did nothing wrong
wrong to blame the victim.
because he could, and probably will,
say he is sorry it happened without ever admitting it was his fault.
so there should be a responsibility watch, not an apology watch. because the GOP will slip in an apology without ever admitting wrong:
"gee its terrible he somehow got shot,
of course we wanted things to go different and we are sorry they didnt"
no more powerful metaphor

Cheneys refusing to acknowledge wrong in shooting a friend in the heart and face .
THAT IS THE KEY.
PUT IT IN YOUR POCKET AND DONT LOSE IT.
He's not man enough or decent enough to admit its wrong to shoot his friend in the face!
His released statement said it was the old guys fault.
Everyone knows if you shoot someone in the face -YOU FUCKED UP- Period.
theres no need of investigation on that. That issue is done. Finished. Through.
Its clear. Its now. AND ITS HUGE.

US braces for flu pandemic -10,000 to 7 million deaths
Fri May 27, 2005 at 06:17:52 PM PDT
http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/ushealthflu
"WASHINGTON (AFP) - US health authorities are taking urgent precautions against a 'flu pandemic' that experts warned could erupt at any time and claim tens of thousands of lives.
Top health officials here warned that the United States was ill-prepared to counter a pandemic which could come from a mutation of the bird flu H5N1 that has badly hit Asia.
Their warnings came as European researchers are also warned this week that hundreds of millions could die around the globe if a mutated bird flu, helped by jet travel and open borders, emerges and sweeps the world..."
Is Iran this kind of threat to anyone?
Tue May 17, 2005 at 10:35:40 PM PDT
"On a recent, quite incredible Fox News special, Lt. Gen. Thomas McInerney said we are already moving aircraft carriers into positions from which we could strike...
I would put up 50 to 60 percent on precision air strikes on their nuclear development sites.' He also observed casually that
Iran wouldn't dare take on the United States. "

Why is China punking Bush?....Because they can.
Mon Mar 14, 2005 at 09:59:03 PM PDT
The day before Condi's trip to ask/beg China to protect us from North korea and borrow money to cover Bushs spending, China literally, as if its no big deal, declares future war on Taiwan, an ally we are obligated to protect. We told Taiwan to sit down and shut up last year when they talked about Freedom.
Is this not a problem? I thought being the Badass who tells everyone to get on their knees was our job. Is not BushCo being punked?
If we are not strong enough, not kind enough, and not smart enough to know how to handle china then why was BuchCo running around the world with its chest puffed up and its mouth braying "freedom" this, and "freedom" that, stuffing preemptive unilateralism down everyones throat.
BushCo is weakening our country. Like the loud drunk fool at a family picnic talking trash and threats to the little guys but punking out the moment somebody big insults the neighbors, hiding over by the beer while his little sister and momma beg for calm-and spending money.
I'd say we aint playing this poker game too good.
No news is good news; Why is Eason responding like Gannon?
Thu Feb 17, 2005 at 03:02:06 PM PDT
Eason tells the truth and then runs away the moment the propagandists question him? As if he has something to hide-Why is Eason behaving like Gannon? His situation is everything that gannons is not: facts, experience, reputation, status. Yet he runs away?? what the fuck kind of journalist is that. Eason needs to be out there telling it like it is.
The admin has zero respect for truthful news. Nytimes frank rich notes that six admin propagandists have been outed.

Is Gannon an Idiot, agent or a gay rebel?

"Imagine that, huh, me working for you"
Lets face it, how stupid would gannon, or anyone who knew his past, have to be to think his past would not pop up?
Its possible Gannon was living with some mind numbing cognitive dissonance and trying to fit in with the Neocons or was bait for young soldiers or DC homosexuals to set-up, but I think another explanation is at least possible: Gannon is a homosexual trickster who intentionally set up the neocons, with their history of signing up shady folks without any real concern for qualifications or backround checks.
remember that 1971 anti-establishment hit song "Signs," originally by The Five Man Electrical Band a Canadian group and redone in the 80's by the rock group Tesla:
And the sign says "Long-haired freaky people need not apply"
So I put my hair up under my hat and I went in to ask him why
He said you look like a fine outstanding young man, I think you'll do
So I took off my hat, I said "Imagine that, huh, me working for you"
Its time for dKos to get a White House press Pass
Fri Feb 11, 2005 at 09:21:14 PM PDT
Now is the right time to fill out the forms for the reality based bloggers to get a white house press pass. You belong there, we need you there, you ought to have the right to be there, and applying for passes will shine a bright, well timed light upon the process.
Why, if a fly by night right wing ringer can get a white house press pass and question the president, do the reality based blogs not have Whitehouse Press passes?
