BREAKING: Hillary Bites Head Off Kitten

Fri Feb 15, 2008 at 09:10:34 AM PDT

UPS - Senator Hillary Clinton bit the head off a kitten, according to witnesses at a small fundraising event last night in Cleveland.  While sipping coffee at a supporter’s home, Clinton was asked how she felt about Barak Obama’s increasing poll numbers in the critical primary state of Ohio.  "I think that he better watch his back." she retorted snatching the kitten from under the coffee table and devouring it.

Republicans- How To Be the Heroes of Democracy

Fri Jul 20, 2007 at 09:23:27 PM PDT

Ok, listen close all you Republicans because I don't want any Democrats to hear this.  No, a bit closer. Ok. Good.

Your ass is grass come 2008 (see Wikipedia, search: McCain) unless you do something drastic.

OK, here's what you do...

BREAKING - Dixie Chicks Missing!

Fri Sep 29, 2006 at 11:32:40 AM PDT

Wireservice.  Members of the country and western band The Dixie Chicks were reported missing this morning, according to Addison, TX police chief R. Davis.  "We can say that we received a distressed call from a neighbor that there was no answer at home.", said Davis.  "The building has been secured.  We have been informed to tell you that the band members are safe and being treated "humanely" at an undisclosed location."  Pressed by reporters for more information on the missing band members, Davis would only say that a typewritten note found at the scene said "You don't want to know".

A Sorry-Ass Comparison

In light of the current Bush Administration efforts to compare World War II with the Iraq Occupation, I thought it might be helpful to flesh out the comparison a bit.

Bush's Mouth - The Genius Within

Wed Jan 18, 2006 at 05:00:22 PM PDT

We all know the power of the spoken word.  It can touch our most primitive emotions and drive those emotions to overcome not only our highest reason but our deepest instincts as well.  Spoken words, strung like pearls on a necklace, can inspire us to deeds and actions like no other form of communication.

Plame it all on the Greater Israel

Pardon me, Mr. President

Mon Jul 18, 2005 at 07:24:35 AM PDT

The game is afoot.  The Republican leadership and their lackeys are spinning themselves sick to produce the alternate reality that Rove is not only innocent of any wrongdoing but might, in fact, merit awards of distinction for his actions.

Those in the reality-based world may rightly point out, "What the Republicans say has little, if any, impact on Fitzgerald's investigation of the Plame leak and the resulting prosecution!"  How very true and reality-based of you.  But befouling Fitzgerald's case is NOT the ultimate goal of the spin coming from the Republicans.  There is a whole, big world of public opinion out there in America, and THAT is the target of the Republican's spin - to turn public opinion toward sympathy, if not outright groveling gratitude, for Rove.

Using Bush's Lies Against Him

Thu Feb 03, 2005 at 11:43:44 PM PDT

This rant dovetails with a couple other diaries "Bush vs. Facts (satire)" posted by bleargh, and "Ya can't get fooled again" posted by abw.  Basically, I ask the Dems to use Bush's lies to accomplish something!

The Gonzales fight is over.  We have, in fact, a torturer for Attorney General of the United States.

There are more issues to fight for and against.  The context of future battles with the Repubs should be Bush's constant deceptions and manipulations to con the American people into buying his next proposal and the buyer's remorse when the real facts come out.  The guy's like a shifty used-car salesman using bait-and-switch tactics.  Even his chuckle sounds like he's worried you may see through his con ("Heh, heh, heh").       More below the fold.
