The only candidate contribution I'm making

$250 to John Edwards; today is the last day for matching funds (up to $250) for the cycle... Iowa caucus is, what, about 6 weeks away?
BTW - I've been unemployed for about 10 months now but I simply have to support the man so I threw it on a zero-interest-for-the-time-being credit card. I have to do what I can to help John Edwards win the nomination.
Introducing: The Whiny Pissbag family
Sat Dec 16, 2006 at 12:06:00 PM PDT
What that fuckity fuck kind of retarded family (1) lets the mass media tell their idiotic story of how they're living paycheck to paycheck on $150,000/yr in freakin' NEBRASKA and (2) expects us to give a rat's ass about their situation when 98+% of the families in the United States would gladly be in their financial situation?
The fucking imbeciles known as The Schuetts, that's who.
Over the fold layeth the tiny violins, serenading.
Stop making fun of Wisconsin's cows. (w/ bad puns)

The people that come in here and start the bit with Wisconsin and cows.
There you go again!

"Ever wonder what would happen if you dropped 50 lbs of Silly Putty from the 7th floor of an office building? Wonder no more as our crack team of Sunbelt Scientists take the challenge."
Ahhhhhhhh, experimental physics -- how I adore thee.

Anyone else just hear that dumbass caller on Randi?
Fri Sep 08, 2006 at 01:55:11 PM PDT
I mean.
Huh?
Randi put the case right in front of her - the dipshit caller couldn't recognize the simplest type of libel.
Was that woman completely unable to comprehend, say, anything?
...
Is this the kind of utter stupidity we're going to have to deal with for the rest of our lives?
...
Can the dumb be re-educated?
Is New Zealand still taking applications?
Can I hit people I don't like with a rubber mallet?
[cringing]
She. Was. So. Dumb.
[UPDATE: I'm not typing 30 minutes of live dialogue. k thx]

Did you... SIGN THE DARFUR PETITION?
Fri Aug 25, 2006 at 07:18:45 AM PDT
Again...
I'm going to bug the crap out of everyone until I see a bazillionty-twelve Rec's/sigs for Richard Cranium diary from two days ago re: the ongoing Rwandan genocide. Or until I'm bitchslapped by Kos or the mods, that is.
Did I mention... SIGN THE DARFUR PETITION
Thu Aug 24, 2006 at 08:51:20 AM PDT
Yeah, I said something about this yesterday. But today is a new day and people may have missed yesterday's
Richard Cranium diary re: the ongoing Rwandan genocide.
PLEASE SIGN THE DARFUR PETITION

Paint my fucking house, Kos
Thu Aug 03, 2006 at 06:54:14 PM PDT
I want out of this farce of a website. I thought this was on open forum for painters to discuss their brushes. Instead, it is little more than the internet wing of the Housepaint Duopoly machine. Now that I want out, a fair minded and liberal website would let me paint my house and go. Instead, DailyKos will give me no such option. Like some sort of cult, I was welcomed in freely but am now being barred from leaving. I do not want to simply leave and let my info remain here at a website I am disgusted by and want no further part in. Since Kos won't allow me the decent option of painting my house (just about every blog DOES let you paint your house when you want to), then somebody here needs to paint my house for me. To deny me painting of my own house is unacceptable.
"The Best Medical Care in the U.S."
Tue Jul 11, 2006 at 09:13:37 AM PDT
(*IRRELEVANT UPDATE*: Crossposted at
my dumb blog)
~~~ DISCLAIMER: I WORK FOR THE VA ~~~
The July 17th edition of Business Week [that publication known for its wacky, liberal agenda **cough**] magazine just came out with a big article on how Veterans Affairs gives the best medical care in the United States.
How about that? The VA. Single-payer, government-provided healthcare... is the best. This "socialized medicine," as it turns out, is a misnomer -- it's actually "efficient medicine." I suppose could go into the economic theory, definitions and esoterica explaining why publicly-provided healthcare makes sense, but... not now.
Onward!
Flatscreen TV?
He can afford a goddamned flatscreen tv?
What the hell?
My Niece's Home-made Father's Day Card
Sun Jun 18, 2006 at 12:22:46 PM PDT
This is gonna be an extra-short diary.
My 8 year old niece, Olivia, made a Father's Day card for her grandpa "Boppie," who happens to be (not-so-oddly enough) my father, as well.
The cover of the card was so funny that I had to scan it and post it here.
Holy shit - I'm kinda sunburned
Katrina autopsy: Police shot mentally disabled man in back
Wed May 24, 2006 at 03:50:05 PM PDT
Check out this twisted shit:
NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana (CNN) -- Autopsy results obtained by CNN show a mentally disabled man was shot in the back when he was killed by New Orleans police in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
This contradicts testimony by a police sergeant that the victim had turned toward officers and was reaching into his waistband when shot.
'What's wrong with libertarianism' - a failed ideology.
Thu May 18, 2006 at 12:28:25 AM PDT
Note: Don't confuse this with some 'anti-liberties' rant! Individual liberties are great! This is a rant against the blind ideology of modern *L*ibertarianism...
Lemme jump right in - I'm not one for introductions.
My background in economic methodologies and legal thought processes often leads me to thinking about the best way to make systems work: Mulling over economic systems - and the legal systems upon which they are based - tends to monopolize my brain.
Any Whigs, Reform, Natural Law party members here?
Wed May 03, 2006 at 11:30:21 PM PDT
Now that the Greens are starting to put up a bit of a fuss... I just want to make it clear how the Democratic party is the REAL "Big Tent" party.
