Yes it is the Gator on another nonsmoking jihad.  I have three days of not smoking and I am hanging in there.  I think this is my third go at it since I signed on here st DailyKos.  I keep trying because ya, know I just don't want to die gasping for breath like my mother did.  If it was your New Years Resolution to quit, Great keep going.  Just remember at $4.25 a pack, 1 pack a day,  that works out to over $1500 a year, just in cigs.

What a great time.  Thanks everyone who checked in.  I know it was a goofy thread but I hope you enjoyed exploring this aspect of the community.  I did.

Edwards has the best line of the campaign so far.  His line has inspired me to "re" believe in my own sig. line.

I heard him say this line during one of the first debates.  I heard him say it again at the Harkin Steak Fry.  I love this line and I think it resonates with our country.  Especially since our current president wants us to shop for democracy and shut the hell up.

I know your are asking yourself,  Gator you said there were 10 reasons."

Well here they are....

I remember a couple of years ago we started a non-smokers group her at dailykos.  Someone famous died of lung cancer; Imagine that.  It started this in house drive to be healthy and tobacco free.  Well I have to say with my employment troubles last year, which were alleviated by the teachers' union, I have to say that I smoked for three months.

I just can't let this go: "The KKK is the Republican Base."  I am deeply disappointed in my home blog and I decided to write Bill O'Reilly an email.  If this diary gets any coverage, I hope we all grow from it.  I decided to post this out of respect to my home blog.  If I can tell BillO then I can say the same thing to all of you.  But I want to make it clear that I pleaded for moderation.

I have been involved in a very interesting debate today.  It occurred right here at DailyKos.  It started with this comment,

"The KKK is the Republican Base."

Now I've had a few words with the Kossack that made this comment and I wish them no ill will.  

I am concerned about...  

Contact Harold Ford and invite him to "bring the factions together."  Ask him to make his best case.  We bring success to the table.  Ask him what he brings to the table.  While your at it ask him to stop appearing on FOX.  Party unity is very important no matter how bad GWB43 screws up the country and turns most Americans against the GOP, but we need party unity.
