I love President Biden. I saw him in person when he was Obama’s running mate.
He was amazing, dynamic, energizing and inspiring!
Years later, it is obvious to everyone that he is not the same person.
Eight years of VP duties and three years being the president, is not an easy task
Plus, all the time and energy having to defend the attacks on him and Hunter Biden. It was pretty exhausting having to read about it constantly from the Right! Imagine having to deal with it. That takes a toll on anyone.
There is too much pressure on him now. After the debate performance, he is one bad moment from sending the whole democratic party in full panic mode. And the MAGA party are gleefully waiting for it!
Now, he has to be prefect. No stutters, no losing train of thought, no tripping going up the stairs!
Why would we put this much pressure on him or any individual for that matter?
So, how does he drop out? He does it from a position of strength. Which is what America values so much; strong leadership. First off, the Democratic Party must be united and strong.
On national TV, President Joe Biden drops out. He makes it clear that he was not forced to , but he choose to, for the good of the country. Because he loves this country so much and treasures our democracy. And although he feels he can be the same effective leaders he has been for the last three and half years. He feels he is becoming more of a distraction. Thus he is dropping out for the good of the party, but again, more importantly for the good of the country!
“I love my job. I don’t give it up lightly. But I am 100% certain America will get the same strong, decisive leadership from my successor.
Vice-President Kamala Harris was not chosen as my VP not because of her gender or her skin color, But because she is highly qualified to do the the job. To lead this nation. To protect Democracy!
But she will not be alone. After careful and in depth thought we have selected. (insert) popular Governor or Senator, etc, from swing state. to be her running mate.”
At his point Kamala and her running mate come onto the stage.
“But, here, I think is the perhaps the best part; I ain’t going nowhere! I will be staying on as an senior advisor!”
At his point all three of them join hands. Raise them into the air.
“We are strong! We are together! We got this!
We will win. Democracy will win!”
I don’t know when they would do this, or how. But I think sooner is better than later. Can they do it before the Democratic National Convention?
The Democratic party is seen as soft, weak and in disarray.
Thus, what ever we do, it has to be BOLD and Decisive, to energize our base and perhaps convince some independents and undecided voters.
I think it would be glorious!
