The VERY SECRET Ballot
During an emergency we often suspend normal procedures and just do what has to be done. This November’s election IS an emergency. You MUST vote. YOU must vote. Be sure to VOTE.
If you belong to any of the listed categories of people who will be adversely affected by a Trump-Republican administration, you must vote for …DEMOCRATS.That’s what you must do. It’s not complicated. If you belong to one of the listed categories, Republicans in this age of Trump are not your friends.
Now, here are special instructions for what you must do before you vote (and maybe afterwards as well). If you live in a household with someone who is opposed to Democrats, keep quiet about your voting plan. Say whatever is necessary to avoid trouble. If you get a call or letter from a political pollster respond in a way that doesn’t cause the roof to cave in. There’s a reason why real Democracies use secret ballots.
The list below tells the categories of people who must pay attention to these special, emergency, instructions:
1. Women (including “girls” and any person who is biologically female).
2. “People of Color”, both male and female. (If you’re uncertain whether you qualify, the answer is ‘yes’.)
3. Sexual and gender minorities, which includes birth-ambiguous anatomy, gender-reassignment (in any way), and same-sex sexual partners (both temporary and permanent).
4. Followers of non-Christian religions, and those who observe no religion.
5. Caucasian Christian men concerned about anyone in one of the other categories.
6. People who count on Social Security.
7. People who count on Medicare.
8. People who count on Medicaid.
9. Members of labor unions.
10. Public School Students of voting age and those concerned about the rest of public school students.
11. People earning less than a quarter of a million dollars a year.
12. Workers who have paid into Social Security.
13. Executives in businesses (large and small) that produce goods and services that are sold to the public (or to other business that sell to the public).
14. Investors in non-military goods and services.
15. Ukrainians and relatives of people in Ukraine (who can vote in the U.S.), and voters with connections to other countries that Vladimir Putin might be interested in.
16. Members of the armed forces, and veterans, and those concerned with their welfare.
17. Parents and caretakers of handicapped or chronically ill persons.
18. Educators and those concerned about such a person.
19. People concerned about an incarcerated person.
20. People worried about the next mass health problem.
21. Members of the U.S. Civil Service
This list, long as it is, may not cover everybody whose lives will be damaged by a Trump-Republican administration. Be sure to make additions as you think of them. If you belong to any of the listed categories, or those you have added, you should follow the emergency voting instructions.
It is possible that you personally do not fall into one of the especially vulnerable categories, but are concerned about one or more persons who is on the list, then the special instructions apply to you as well.
The future of tens of millions of people depends on voters like you who must go against strong opinions in your own home and community. Even though you may disagree with some Democratic (Party) policies and programs the disaster that will follow the election of Trump-Republicans is not the way to fix anything. It’ll be like setting fire to the house to get rid of some ants.
