The latest Trumper to find out the price of spreading misinformation about the integrity of elections—Mike Lindell. Earlier today, Dominion Voting Systems sent the My Pillow Guy official notice that he’s about to be sued for his outrageous lies about their machines being fraud magnets.
“You have positioned yourself as a prominent leader of the ongoing misinformation campaign,” the letter said, referring to his continued false claims that their systems were rigged by someone to effect the outcome.
“Litigation regarding these issues is imminent,” the letter said.
Maggie Haberman of The New York Times got a copy (h/t Raw Story).
It’s the usual—demanding that Lindell and his retainers preserve all documents and social media posts related to his public statements about Dominion. Tellingly, it directs him to preserve all documents related to his communications with the Trump campaign and legal teams. He’s specifically required to preserve all communications with Sidney Powell, Rudy Giuliani, Jenna Ellis and Lin Wood.
We already know Dominion is not coming to play. It already sued Powell for a whopping $1.3 billion. Expect Dominion to sue for much more than that. Lindell is personally worth $300 million.
Pass the popcorn.
