I was a single mom for six years; I saw discrimination as a pregnant (and then breastfeeding) mama in the hospitality industry (and then fought for servers’ rights to pump in clean environments), navigated ELC, EBT, WIC, and more, while I stayed in school. I saw where our opportunities were and where we needed growth.
Now, with women’s rights under attack, with education under attack...I’m fighting back.
We’ve seen the same kinds of representation- attorneys, doctors, those in the highest economic tax bracket making laws that will never affect them. We need someone with qualified experience in the areas we’re making legislation for. It’s time for one of us to represent us.
It’s going to take all of us to make change, and we can’t afford to undervalue the importance of this seat. If you’re able to help support our grassroots campaign, please donate at: voteamytrask.com
