I watched the debate. I saw what happened. President Biden had, arguably, the worst debate of his career. He tried to point out his policy wins, while also trying to process the incessant cavalcade of lies being spewed by the Quadruple-Indicted Convicted Felon.
I don't think I'd be up to the task, and I'm 20 years younger, stutterless, and a non-cold-having seasoned debater and stage performer.
It certainly didn't help anything when the moderators continually allowed the Orange Menace to sidestep debate questions and simply launch into another stream of verbal offal. At no point did either of them stop him and say, "Mr Trump, you didn't answer the question." Yet they seemed to gleefully cut Biden off in mid-point. Repeatedly.
Maybe Joe should have dropped a Dayquil before the debate. Maybe he should have pointed out that the Quadruple-Indicted Convucted Felon seemed to HAVE dropped, snorted or injected SOMETHING before the debate.
Okay, Joe lost this one. All the reasons (not excuses) aside, he dribbled the ball off his foot and out of bounds. I concede the point.
But it's time we stop the bullshit about "Joe's lost it and should drop out." The (supposedly) progressive left is echoing the EXACT same crap that's coming from Faux Noise and all the other RT-owned "news and opinion" outlets. Stop it. And stop with the agist bullshit, because all you thirty-somethings are gonna get old, too. And you can age in a democratic society with dignity and grace, or you can age in a fascist hellscape of YOUR OWN MAKING. That, boys and girls, is the stark choice we face.
