Full house today! Both literally and virtually.
Yet another inclement weather delay means lots of “atmosphere” for our conversations today. And it being Wednesday, we’ll have Greg Dworkin and Joan McCarter to help us avoid dead air in the event of a child dispatch emergency.
Exciting!
Also, Trump works for the Russians.
Listen right here at 9:00 AM ET!
PODCAST LISTENERS: There’s a new podcast platform in town, and the big news is: this one pays! RadioPublic pays podcast producers on a CPM basis, for listens on their native app (available for iPhones & Androids), financed by pre- and post-roll ads they insert. Not a bad way to support the show, with somebody else’s money!
So if you’re a podcast listener, please consider downloading the RadioPublic app on your Android or iOS phone. Yes, you can still download directly from their site, or listen to the player embedded here at Daily Kos. But it’s listens in their app that count toward payment.
Nothing changes on our end. It’s still Greg Dworkin, Joan McCarter, and even Armando. Plus also, me. And you! As always, we still want your voice on the air with us. Sit down with your smart phone or other electronic recording device and send us your stories and commentary to share with the audience. There’s no easier way to try your hand at podcasting, without all the hassle!
Of course there’s no substitute for having your support via Patreon, or one-time contributions via Square Cash. (And hey, if you want a cool trick for donating sorta-kinda cost free, get their cash.me app and use this share code to get $5 in your account (plus $5 in mine) when you send your first $5 (to anyone)!
For now, how about one on the house? Here’s what we did last time out, on our previous LIVE show:
This AM, a school snow delay backed traffic all the way up to the doors of KITM World Headquarters. David Waldman fought child gridlock while bringing us the latest in today’s news: Donald Trump bought over 1000 hamburgers last night, sharing 300 with the Clemson University Tigers football team, but probably didn’t spring for drinks. Steve King managed to hide his insane racism from all of Washington for over 20 years, but it finally caught up with him as the House stripped him of his committee assignments, and might throw some disapproval, or even censure his way. A federal judge blocked Trump’s 2020 citizenship question, allowing millions of citizens to be counted. Now the administration quietly moves to garrote Medicaid behind Congress’ back. William Barr’s Senate confirmation hearing continues, and so far there’s plenty hinky about that guy. Elizabeth Holtzman was there during Watergate and can tell you William Barr is wrong. Sally Yates’ warning about vulnerability to blackmail applied to Trump more than Mike Flynn. Do you know who really would know about Trump and Putin? The other person in the room. There are at least 18 reasons Trump could be a Russian asset. Can the invisible hand of the free market block future shootings? Arming teachers is idiotic and crazy, and therefore difficult to do, but that also means it has to be done on the QT. Hey, if any of you donated to the GoFundMe for Trump’s wall, well… oh never mind.
(Thanks to Scott Anderson for the show summary! Please help me pay him more!)
