Russia alleged Monday that Individual 1 has asked the nation for guidance on how to handle North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un ahead of this week’s talks.
(Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov) said in comments carried by Russian news agencies [...] that “the U.S. is even asking our advice, our views on this or that scenario of” how the summit in Hanoi could pan out.
The Kremlin hasn’t given any details about the exchange, nor confirmed what, if any, “advice” was actually given.
Obviously, a grain of salt is necessary when it comes to anything coming out of Russia, but imagine, if you will, Barack Obama allegedly doing this very same thing—asking one dictator for guidance for handling another dictator. The Republican Party would be apoplectic, yelling “impeachment” on every news show in the country. Instead, this allegation has been greeted with GOP crickets.
It’s long been assumed that Trump is owned by Vladimir Putin; after all, Trump has little patience for and no issues attacking longtime American allies, yet with Putin he’s essentially a lapdog. Despite knowing that Russia attacked our nation and our elections, we keep hearing that Trump trusts Putin.
Most recently, former FBI Director Andrew McCabe alleges that officials cannot bother Trump with facts, because Trump believes Putin.
The Trump administration would neither confirm or deny if they requested advice from Russia, according to Newsweek.
