The Short SC.7 Skyvan—often called the “Flying Shoebox”—is a 19-seat twin-turboprop aircraft manufactured in Belfast, Northern Ireland by Short Brothers. It first flew in 1963 and is popular with skydivers. Shown below is a Skyvan which was outside of the Erickson Aircraft Collection in Madras, Oregon
The Skyvan has a maximum speed of 200 mph, a cruising speed of 178 mph, and a range of 602 nautical miles.
