That strike yesterday in Crimea netted big gains — a warehouse full of drones.

Russia continues to relentlessly shell Kherson.
This is a long thread that talks about the rampant Russian practice of sending wounded soldiers back to the front. This one is different because it is told by a Russian blogger who is outraged at the waste of human life.
3/ A recent video shows visibly injured men on crutches pleading to be taken out of the battlefield. According to Kashevarova, they are from the 26th Tank Regiment of the 47th Guards Tank Division. They address their appeal to Putin and the military prosecutor's office.
4/ The men, who number about 50, say that they are wounded, still using crutches and plaster casts, have not been fully treated and have not undergone the required rehabilitation or 45-day medical leave. Nonetheless they are still being sent on combat missions.
5/ They say that field doctors are "shrugging their shoulders" at the situation, which they blame on their commanders. They are currently in the second line but say that they will be sent to the front line in a few days' time.
….
8/ "…they load guys into cars by deceit (assuring them that they are taking them to the command for some documents and leave) and send them to the front. Why? What will they do there? What is this image of turbulent activity?
9/ "What incredible value does a fighter on crutches have on the front line? I understand, maybe not feeling sorry for specific people, but turn on logic, turn on practical considerations: these people on the front line are simply useless!
Way down in the thread, there is this assessment:
32/ She suggests that the new leadership of the Russian Ministry of Defence has found itself in a "soap bubble" and does not know what to do about the situation. The underlying cause, she says, is a chronic shortage of manpower, which she blames on the following:
33/ "1. Because at the beginning of the Special Military Operation and for a long time after, the generals and leadership of the Ministry of Defence believed that drones were not serious. And we suffered losses in personnel and equipment.
34/ "2. Because they sent untrained people to the front who could not shoot. Normal commanders tried to save them and they themselves died.3. Because many assaults take place without artillery support.
35/ "And somewhere the artillery strikes at its own people, and the tankers do not take into account the terrain and also hit their own side from the hilltops.
Meanwhile, at the front, Russian soldiers are sent across open fields in broad daylight.
WARNING: Video shows the results of the stupidity of sending soldiers across an open field.
You invade somebody else’s home, blow up their homes, rape their women, steal their children and you wonder why they slit your throats in the night?
You should be afraid the walk the streets, very afraid.
“Our soldier was walking alone, then in the morning he was found dead behind the bridge... We had cases when we were forbidden to move alone, even with weapons, because two of our soldiers were killed, their legs were shot and their throats were cut. There was another incident when an unknown person drove up on an ATV and opened fire on us. And there are many such cases...” The invader said that the partisan underground in the occupied territories is working in full swing, because of this, the commanders forbid them to communicate with people, and the occupiers themselves are afraid to walk at night.
What amazes me about videos like this is not the fact that a motor pool is burning, but that everybody just goes about their business. I suppose it becomes the new normal after a while.
This guy obviously has no more fucks to give.
It’s getting so Belgorod isn’t safe for invaders and occupiers.
The Ukrainian air base at Myrhorod was hit by Russia with Iskander-M missiles using cluster munitions. Seven planes were reported either destroyed or damaged. Ukraine doesn’t have enough planes that it can afford to lose many.
This is the kind of incompetence you normally see at a Russian base. Someone needs to be dismissed over this.
The air base, which is northwest of Poltava in east central Ukraine, has an interesting history. It was used by the American Army Air Forces in 1944 as a bomber base.
Hopefully better care will be taken to protect the F-16s.
Vilnius in Lithuania is such a beautiful old city, but Russia wouldn’t hesitate to turn it into Bakhmut.
So what shall we call this Frankengun?
You’d almost get the idea that some deity has it in for Russia.
Viktor Orban visited Kyiv for the first time since 2012. Hungary has the presidency of the EU at the moment so this was a necessary trip for Orban.
The BTR-70 was first produced in the 60s and production was halted in 1984.
Compared to the earlier BTR-60PB, relatively small numbers of BTR-70s were produced. The design was still regarded as suffering from some of the same disadvantages, such as the two flammable petrol engines and the poor means of entry and exit. These flaws became especially evident when the vehicle was tested in combat during the Soviet-Afghan War.
The scars of war take a long time to heal.
Rest in peace.
This is the congresswoman who is a native of Ukraine but voted against military aid to Ukraine.
