By now we seemed to have sorted ourselves into camps based on whether or not we think Joe should step aside. Looks like about 10% bed-wetters (here!) and 90% whatever-adjective-I-use-will-get-me-flagged. But at the risk of more ad hominem attacks, let me pose another hypothetical to you: what if Trump drops out? Do we stand a better or worse chance against his replacement (almost certainly Nikki Haley)? After all, she would be working with exactly the same constraints as, say, Kamala Harris. My personal view is that we’d be much worse off against Haley, because she removes the one glaring problem with their candidate and makes many more people likely to vote for her who were reticent. Who among you would rather face Haley, even today, than Trump?
Why, then, does the same logic not apply to us?
