Romancing the Vote is a fundraiser by progressive romance authors for voter registration and GOTV efforts. Previous auctions have raised nearly half a million dollars for organizations like Fair Fight (run by Stacey Abrams, herself a romance and mystery author).
They’re auctioning off books of all genres, quilts, jewelry, and all kinds of awesome things. If you’re a writer, there are consultations and critiques with well-known authors, and even a book launch party. If you’re not into things literary, there are other treasures, including tech support, personal assistant services, fancy dice, baked goods, and — dangit, while scrolling through there to write this diary, I just spotted some earrings that Packrat must have.
And don’t miss the “Fuck SCOTUS” stickers.
The auction ends Friday, July 5th, at 8 pm Eastern/5 pm Pacific, so don’t wait!

From belinda ridgewood:
In tonight's Kitchen Table Kibitzing by jck, Franks Human made a point about some of the Biden commentary that's been going on here that I have not seen made before.
From inkstainedwretch:
DRo's comment on Dartagnan's diary highlights the lazy, preening, clickbaity media members who are far, far less smart than they think they are.

The picture quilt remains borked. I’m pretty sure it’s the Supreme Court’s fault.
