A supergroup featuring Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine), Chuck D (Public Enemy), and B-Real (Cypress Hill) plans to crash the Republican National Convention in Cleveland:
Morello called candidate Donald Trump a “racist demagogue,” Bernie Sanders a “dreamer” and Hillary Clinton the “lesser of three evils” and said none of those three choices are good enough.
“Well there’s a thing called the Republican National Convention in July, and that will be a perfect place for a band like Prophets of Rage to cause a ruckus, and we will be there on the streets, in the field,” Morello told Bloomberg Politics. “We have a venue and there may be venues that will be spontaneous venues, it’s hard to say. This is the kind of thing you don’t broadcast to the local authorities prior to arrival.”
Raw Story
Because this is bound to come up, Morello makes it clear in the quote above that he prefers Hillary.
In the photo at the link he's wearing a hat that says 'MAKE AMERICA RAGE AGAIN.'
I am honestly not sure what to make of this at the moment. There are so many factors in play. Tom Morello and Chuck D seem pretty solid. Trump is a fascist. Hillary supporters have been throwing much shade at Bernie supporters for alleged confrontational tactics. Protests have been important agents of change at times in our history. I hope this isn't a San Jose-type thing.
That's the best I've got. What do y'all think?
