My daughter is a freshman in Ames, IA (Story County). I have researched the Iowa voter website and she is eligible to register to vote in Iowa (which needs her vote more than her home state of MN). She cannot register to vote online because she does not have an Iowa DL, but she can fill out a voter registration form and take it to the county auditor (and I think early vote at the same time). Can any Iowa person help me with several questions. First, does anyone know if there is a voter registration drive on the ISU campus? Second, if not, do you know of where I can find if there are there any volunteers that can take her to the county office to register (she does not have a car)? Third, do you know the deadline to register? While I know this should be her responsibility, she is busy with school and her other activities and I this is too important to hope that she “gets around to it. Finally, can someone from Story County, if possible, let me know which judges/local people she should be voting for? Thank you for all your help.
